Eva Klesse, *1986, Studium in Leipzig/Weimar/Paris/New York, ist als Schlagzeugerin und Komponistin in
zahlreichen Projekten tätig. u.a. in ihrem eigenen Quartett, im Sarah Chaksad Large Ensemble, Julia
Hülsmann Oktett, in Daniel Erdmanns “Therapie de Couple” und spielt(e) u.a. mit Musiker*innen wie Ethan Iverson, Marilyn Mazur, Wolfgang Muthspiel und Nils Landgren. Konzertreisen führten sie einmal um die halbe Welt u.a. in die USA, nach Argentinien, Chile, Mexiko, Malaysia, Ägypten und China sowie auf die Bühnen zahlreicher internationaler Festivals.
Mit ihrem eigenen Quartett hat Eva u.a. sechs Alben unter eigenem Namen veröffentlicht und wurde für ihre Arbeit u.a. mit dem Echo Jazz, dem Westfalen Jazz Preis und dem SWR Jazzpreis ausgezeichnet. Seit 2018 lehrt Eva Klesse als Professorin für Jazzschlagzeug an der Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover.

Eva Klesse, *1986, studied in Leipzig/Weimar/Paris/New York, is active as a percussionist and composer in
numerous projects, including her own quartet, the Sarah Chaksad Large Ensemble, Julia Hülsmann Oktett, Daniel Erdmann’s “Therapie de Couple” and plays with musicians such as Ethan Iverson, Marilyn Mazur, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Nils Landgren. Concert tours have taken her halfway around the world, including to the USA, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Malaysia, Egypt and China, as well as to the stages of numerous international festivals. With her own quartet, Eva has released six albums under her own name and has been honoured for her work with the Echo Jazz, the Westfalen Jazz Prize and the SWR Jazz Prize, among others.
Eva Klesse has been a professor of jazz drums at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media since 2018.
