German Federal Election is coming up on February 23rd

Let’s talk about two things that go hand in hand – Jazz and Democracy! As Wynton Marsalis beautifully put it: “Jazz music is the perfect metaphor for democracy. We improvise (our individual rights), we swing (nurturing the common good), and we play the blues (staying optimistic while facing challenges).” *

Speaking of democracy in action – the German Federal Election is coming up on February 23rd! 

You can: 

Vote early at your local postal voting office (Briefwahllokal) – no need to wait for the big day! and/or join demonstrations supporting diversity and standing against racism. Check out upcoming events at: https://www.demokrateam.org/bundesland/berlin/

Whether you can vote or not, you can still make your voice heard! Just like in jazz, every voice adds to the harmony of our society.

So let’s keep swinging, keep standing up for what’s right, and keep that democratic rhythm alive!
