Die Sängerin und Komponistin Almut Kühne singt Solo improvisierend, im Bottom Orchestra, Stefan Schultze Large Ensemble und ist in unzähligen Formationen der zeitgenössischen Jazzszene zu erleben. Mit ihrem hochenergetischen Trio HOW NOISY ARE THE ROOMS? mit Joke Lanz an den Turntables und Alfred Vogel am Schlagzeug tourt sie derzeit zu den renommierten nationalen und internationalen Jazzfestivals. Als Interpretin Zeitgenössischer Musik sang sie John Cage, Morton Feldman und M. E. Edgerton. Die Schnittstellen zu Kunst, Tanz, Literatur und Wissenschaft auslotend, arbeitet sie auch mit Tänzer:innen und Bildenden Künstler:innen wie Nayana Bhat, Helge Leiberg, Marianna Christofides und Niklaus Troxler zusammen. Ihr Zyklus INBETWEEN SKIES ist den Zugvögeln gewidmet und ihre 6-Kanal-Audio-Installation für Werner Klotz Video-Skulptur „Candelabro“ zu Aristides de Sousa Mendes wurde im Pantheon Lissabon und Ulmer Münster gezeigt. Mit Almut Kühne wurden über 30 Alben veröffentlicht.

The singer and composer Almut Kühne performs solo in improvised settings, with the Bottom Orchestra and the Stefan Schultze Large Ensemble, and can be heard in countless formations within the contemporary jazz scene. With her high-energy trio HOW NOISY ARE THE ROOMS?, featuring Joke Lanz on turntables and Alfred Vogel on drums, she is currently touring renowned national and international jazz festivals. As an interpreter of contemporary music, she has performed works by John Cage, Morton Feldman, and M. E. Edgerton. Exploring the intersections of art, dance, literature, and science, she also collaborates with dancers and visual artists such as Nayana Bhat, Helge Leiberg, Marianna Christofides, and Niklaus Troxler. Her cycle INBETWEEN SKIES is dedicated to migratory birds, and her 6-channel audio installation for Werner Klotz’s video sculpture “Candelabro”, about Aristides de Sousa Mendes, was presented at the Pantheon in Lisbon and Ulm Minster. More than 30 albums have been released featuring Almut Kühne.

Christina Wheeler ist eine afroamerikanisch/deutsche Vokalistin, Komponistin, Musikerin und Klangarchitektin, deren Arbeit die Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten der Jazzstimme erweitert. Zwischen Song, Improvisation und Live-Elektronik bewegend, nutzt Wheeler die Stimme sowohl als Instrument als auch als kompositorischen Motor durch Elektronik und räumliches Design. Ihre Performances sind streng konstruiert und zugleich körperlich unmittelbar präsent, getragen von tiefem Zuhören und verkörpertem Klang. Christina Wheeler is an African-American/German vocalist, composer, musician, and sonic architect whose work expands the expressive possibilities of the jazz voice. Moving between song, improvisation, and live electronics, Wheeler engages the voice as both instrument and compositional engine through electronics and spatial design. Performances are rigorously constructed yet viscerally present, grounded in deep listening and embodied sound. Wheeler has performed and recorded with artists including David Byrne, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nicole Mitchell, and the Art Ensemble of Chicago. Bleckmann wurde von Terry Gross in NPRs Fresh Air interviewt und trat mit Laurie Anderson in der David-Letterman-Show auf. In den DownBeat-Polls belegte er regelmäßig Spitzenplätze und ist Träger des renommierten JAZZ ECHO Awards. Zuletzt veröffentlichte er ein Album mit dem gefeierten Blechbläserquartett The Westerlies und tourte mit dem Oulu Symphony Orchestra sowie der UMO Jazz Big Band durch Finnland. Most recently he released an album with the celebrated brass quartet ‘The Westerlies’, and toured Finland with the Oulu Symphony Orchestra and UMO Jazz Big Band. Most notably, Pulitzer-Prize-winning composer David Lang wrote a monodrama for Theo Bleckmann and Attacca String Quartet (recording forthcoming). Zuza Jasińska (geb. 1997) ist eine in Berlin lebende Vokalistin, Komponistin und Improvisatorin aus Toruń, Polen. Schon früh entwickelte sie einen eigenständigen Vokalstil, indem sie sich mit unterschiedlichen Klangumgebungen auseinandersetzte und diese neu interpretierte. Ihr musikalischer Ansatz verbindet Elemente aus Folk, Pop, Jazz und experimenteller Improvisation. Als Absolventin des Jazz-Instituts der UdK Berlin (2023) tritt Jasińska mit Ensembles wie SO SORRY, inEvitable Extended, Eva Klesse 4tet Stimmen, Storm Dog sowie dem Duo Gołos x Jasińska auf und arbeitete außerdem mit der NDR Bigband sowie an verschiedenen Theaterproduktionen zusammen. Derzeit entwickelt sie ihr Soloprojekt Solo Voice und ist für immersive Performances bekannt, die durch innovative Vokaltechniken, emotionale Intensität und starke Bühnenpräsenz geprägt sind. Ihre Diskografie umfasst das Album imho (2021) mit Emilia Gołos, ein zweites Duoalbum (erscheint 2026), die SO SORRY EP WE ARE SO SORRY (2026) sowie verschiedene Kollaborations-Singles.

Zuza Jasinska (b. 1997) is a Berlin-based vocalist, composer, and improviser originally from Toruń, Poland. From an early age, she cultivated a distinctive vocal style by engaging with and reinterpreting diverse sonic environments. Her musical approach integrates elements of folk, pop, jazz, and experimental improvisation. A 2023 graduate of the Jazz Institute at UdK Berlin, Jasinska performs with ensembles such as SO SORRY, inEvitable Extended, Eva Klesse 4tet “Stimmen,” Storm Dog, and the Gołos x Jasinska duo, and has collaborated with the NDR Bigband as well as various theatre productions. She is currently developing her solo project, Solo Voice, and is recognized for immersive performances characterized by innovative vocal techniques, emotional resonance, and a strong stage presence. Her discography includes the album imho (2021) with Emilia Gołos, with a second duo album due in 2026, the SO SORRY EP „WE ARE SO SORRY“ (2026), and various collaborative singles.
