Das Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra wurde 2006 gegründet und gilt als eines der unverkennbarsten Großensembles: „kein anderes Ensemble der Welt klingt wie sie“ (Süddeutsche Zeitung).
Nach vier gefeierten Alben, weit über 200 Konzerten in 25 Ländern auf vier Kontinenten, ist es derzeit eine zehn- bis zwölfköpfige Gruppe, die sich flexibel zu einem größeren Ensemble erweitern kann.
Es spielt vorwiegend Kompositionen des Gründers Daniel Glatzel, welche stets musikalische Grenzen überwinden und erweitern. AMEO schöpft aus einem bunten Spektrum von Jazz, Klassik, Avantgarde, traditionellen Musikstilen, Independent und Electronica – „Some of the most detailed jazz-writing you’re likely to find“ (BBC Radio).
Es gab Konzerte u.a. in den großen Sälen der Berliner, Kölner und Elbphilharmonie, beim Roskilde Festival, uvm. 2021 war es der erste Preisträger des Deutschen Jazzpreises für große Ensembles überhaupt. 2024 wurde es erneut als „Ensemble des Jahres“ nominiert.

The Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra was founded in 2006 and is considered one of the most distinctive large ensembles: “No other ensemble in the world sounds like them” (Süddeutsche Zeitung).
After four acclaimed albums and well over 200 concerts in 25 countries across four continents, the ensemble currently consists of 10 to 12 musicians, with the flexibility to expand into a larger group.
The orchestra primarily performs compositions by its founder, Daniel Glatzel, which constantly push and transcend musical boundaries. AMEO draws from a diverse spectrum of jazz, classical, avant-garde, traditional music styles, independent music, and electronica – “Some of the most detailed jazz-writing you’re likely to find” (BBC Radio).
The ensemble has performed in major concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Cologne Philharmonic, and the Elbphilharmonie, as well as at festivals like Roskilde Festival, among many others. In 2021, AMEO became the first-ever recipient of the German Jazz Prize for large ensembles. In 2024, it was once again nominated as „Ensemble of the Year.“

Fuasi begann seine professionelle Musikkarriere im Jahr 1972 nach seinem College-Abschluss. Während seines Postgraduiertenstudiums wurde er von dem legendären afroamerikanischen Pianisten Horace Tapscott ausgebildet und trat der Union of God’s Musicians and Artists Ascension (UGMAA) in Los Angeles bei. Diese Erfahrung führte zu einer lebenslangen Zusammenarbeit mit Tapscotts Pan-Afrikan People’s Arkestra (PAPA), in dem Fuasi eine zentrale Rolle als Assistenzdirigent, Arrangeur, Komponist, Kopist und Multi-Instrumentalist auf Saxophon, Klarinette und Flöte spielte.
Das Fuasi Organ Ensemble ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit seinem langjährigen Freund, dem Pianisten Tal Balshai, und erforscht die dynamischen Klänge der Hammond B3-Orgel. Zur Gruppe gehören außerdem Gur Liraz an der Gitarre und Tilman Person am Schlagzeug, wodurch eine vielseitige und energiegeladene Besetzung entsteht. Ihr Repertoire verbindet Eigenkompositionen mit Einflüssen aus Blues, Hard Bop, Swing, afrikanischen, orientalischen und Funk-Traditionen – und bietet dem Publikum überall ein fesselndes und facettenreiches Musikerlebnis.

Fuasi began his professional music career in 1972 after graduating from college. During his postgraduate studies, he trained with the legendary African-American pianist Horace Tapscott and became a member of the Union of God’s Musicians and Artists Ascension (UGMAA) in Los Angeles. This experience led to a lifelong collaboration with Tapscott’s Pan-Afrikan People’s Arkestra (PAPA), where Fuasi played a key role as assistant conductor, arranger, composer, copyist, and multi-instrumentalist on saxophone, clarinet, and flute.
Fuasi’s Organ Ensemble is a collaboration with his longtime friend, pianist Tal Balshai, exploring the dynamic sounds of the Hammond B3 organ. The group also features Gur Liraz on guitar and Tilman Person on drums, forming a versatile and energetic lineup. Their repertoire blends original compositions with influences from blues, hard bop, swing, African, Oriental, and funk traditions—delivering a rich and captivating musical experience for audiences everywhere.

Die Musik des Pianisten und Komponisten Omer Klein ist „grenzenlos“ (New York Times). Sein Schaffen umfasst ein breites Spektrum – von Solo-Klavier bis Big Band, von Song bis Sinfonieorchester. Er hat für sein eigenes Trio, für Streichquartett sowie für Theater, Tanz und Film komponiert.
Das Omer Klein Trio wurde 2013 gegründet und zeichnet sich durch die mitreißende Zusammenarbeit des Pianisten mit dem Bassisten Haggai Cohen-Milo und dem Schlagzeuger Amir Bresler aus. Das Trio spielt Kleins Kompositionen und ist weltweit auf Tournee. Es wurde bereits zum zweiten Mal in Folge für den Deutschen Jazzpreis in der Kategorie Live Act des Jahres nominiert. Derzeit arbeiten sie an einem neuen Sextett-Album, bei dem sich dem Trio drei neue musikalische Partner anschließen.
Das Album Fearless Friday gilt als „eine der lohnendsten Piano-Trio-Veröffentlichungen der letzten Jahre“ (All About Jazz). Für Sleepwalkers wurde das Trio mit dem ECHO Jazz ausgezeichnet. Die Stuttgarter Zeitung lobte ihre Musik mit den Worten: „Kraftvoller Groove, faszinierend komplex … 5 Sterne.“

The music of the pianist and composer Omer Klein is „borderless“ (New York Times). His work covers a broad spectrum, from solo piano to big band, from song to symphony orchestra. He has composed for his own trio, for string quartet as well as for theater, dance and film.
Founded in 2013, the Omer Klein Trio features the pianist’s exhilarating collaboration with bassist Haggai Cohen-Milo and drummer Amir Bresler. The trio performs Klein’s compositions and tours extensively. This is their second consecutive Deutscher Jazzpreis „Live Act of the Year“ nomination. These days they are recording a new Sextet album, in which the trio is joined by three new collaborators.
The trio’s album „Fearless Friday“ is considered “one of the most rewarding piano trio releases of recent years” (All About Jazz). For „Sleepwalkers“ The trio was awarded the ECHO Jazz. Stuttgarter Zeitung is among the many who praised their work – “Powerful groove, fascinatingly complex… 5 stars”.

Sonic Interventions entstand im Jahr 2020 aus wöchentlichen Open-Air-Sessions mit improvisierter Musik, Poesie und Tanz auf dem Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. Seitdem hat sich die transdisziplinäre, diaspora-futuristische Band als eines der renommiertesten Underground-Jazz-Kollektive Berlins etabliert. Bekannt für ihre inklusiven Live-Perfromances, in denen Momente der Meditation und Trance in kraftvolle Grooves übergehen, verbindet die Band Ritual mit Klang und Rhythmen, die vom Kosmos und den Ahnen inspiriert sind. Ihr Debütalbum Do You Remember? erschien im November 2024 bei Agogo Records.

Sonic Interventions emerged in 2020 from weekly open air sessions of improvised music, poetry dance on Tempelhofer Feld, Berlin. Since then, the transdisciplinary, diaspora-futuristic band has established itself as one of Berlin’s most acclaimed underground Jazz collectives. Known for inclusive live spectacles, in which moments of meditation and trance rise into heavy grooves, the band merges ritual with sound and rhythms inspired by the cosmos and the ancestors. Their debut Album ‚Do You Remember?‘ appeared in November 2024 on Agogo Records.
