Camila Nebbia, geboren in Buenos Aires und ansässig in Berlin, ist Saxophonistin, Komponistin, Improvisatorin, bildende Künstlerin und Kuratorin. Das Magazin Jazz PT beschreibt sie als „eine unverzichtbare Saxophonistin unserer Zeit“. Als multidisziplinäre Künstlerin erforscht sie in ihrer Arbeit Konzepte von Identität, Migration und Erinnerung durch vielschichtige Ausdrucksformen.
Ihr letztes Soloalbum „una ofrenda a la ausencia“ (eine Opfergabe an die Abwesenheit), veröffentlicht bei Relative Pitch Records, wurde vom NYC Jazz Record als „ein zutiefst menschliches und persönliches Album“ beschrieben, das die Hörer*innen mit einem leidenschaftlichen Zugang zum Jazz überrascht. Ingrid Laubrock ist eine experimentelle Saxophonistin und Komponistin, die sich für die Erforschung der Grenzen zwischen musikalischen Bereichen interessiert. Laubrock hat mit Anthony Braxton, Muhal Richard Abrams, Jason Moran, Kris Davis, Nels Cline, Tyshawn Sorey, Tomeka Reid, Mary Halvorson, Myra Melford, Zeena Parkins, Tom Rainey, Tim Berne, Dave Douglas, Wet Ink und vielen anderen gespielt.
Laubrock hat für Ensembles komponiert, die von Solo bis Kammerorchester reichen. Zu ihren Auszeichnungen gehören das Fellowship in Jazz Composition der Arts Foundation, der BBC Jazz Prize for Innovation, der SWR Jazzpreis und der Herb Alpert Ucross Prize in Music Composition.
Derzeit unterrichtet sie Jazz-Saxophon an der Columbia University und Komposition an The New School, beide in New York.

Laubrock has performed with Anthony Braxton, Muhal Richard Abrams, Jason Moran, Kris Davis, Nels Cline, Tyshawn Sorey, Tomeka Reid, Mary Halvorson, Myra Melford, Zeena Parkins, Tom Rainey, Tim Berne,Dave Douglas, Wet Ink and many others.
Laubrock has composed for ensembles ranging from solo to chamber orchestra. Awards include Fellowship in Jazz Composition by the Arts Foundation, BBC Jazz Prize for Innovation, SWR Jazz Prize and the Herb Alpert Ucross Prize in Music Composition.

Mit 11 Jahren begann Johannes Schleiermacher, gemeinsam mit seinem Vater Saxophon zu lernen. Er schloss sich der Dresden Big Band an, wo er mit 17 Jahren die Free-Jazz-Legende Gunter Hampel bei einem Workshop kennenlernte und seitdem Teil seiner Bands ist. Für das Musikstudium zog er nach Berlin und war 15 Jahre Mitglied des Andromeda Mega Express Orchestras.
2010 gründete er das Woima Collective und 2015 Onom Agemo and the Disco Jumpers. Er organisierte u. a. Projekte mit dem Kel- Tamaschek-Gitarristen und Sänger Ahmed Ag Kaedy (Mali) sowie der Gnawa-Musikerin Asma Hamzaoui (Marokko).
2020 entstand das Duo TRAINING mit Max Andrzejewski, das zuletzt das viel gelobte Album Threads to Knot mit Ruth Goller veröffentlichte. Er ist u. a. Bandmitglied bei Shake Stew und Max Andrzejewskis Hütte, Gast bei Embryo, wirkte an über 30 Alben mit und gab weltweit Konzerte.

At the age of 11, Johannes Schleiermacher began learning the saxophone together with his father. He joined the Dresden Big Band, where at 17, he met free jazz legend Gunter Hampel during a workshop and has been part of his bands ever since. He moved to Berlin to study music and was a member of the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra for 15 years. In 2010, he founded the Woima Collective, followed by Onom Agemo and the Disco Jumpers in 2015. He has also organized projects with Kel Tamasheq guitarist and singer Ahmed Ag Kaedy (Mali) and Gnawa musician Asma Hamzaoui (Morocco).
In 2020, he formed the duo TRAINING with Max Andrzejewski, which recently released the highly acclaimed album Threads to Knot featuring Ruth Goller. He is also a member of Shake Stew and Max Andrzejewski’s Hütte, a guest musician with Embryo, and has contributed to over 30 albums while performing concerts worldwide.

Luise Volkmann /geb. 1992/ ist eine in Köln lebende Jazzmusikerin und Klangbastlerin. Ihr bevorzugtes Werkzeug ist das Saxophon. Ihre musikalische Arbeit kreist um das transformative Potential von Musik – mit verschiedenen Bands und Projekten, die sie in Leben gerufen hat. Sie studierte Jazz-Saxophon, Komposition und Musikwissenschaft in Leipzig, Paris und Köln.
Luises Alben wurden von Der ZEIT und dem Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland zu den besten Alben der Jahre 2018 und 2021 gewählt. Als Saxophonistin wurde sie mehrfach ausgezeichnet und war bereits 2020 für den Deutschen Jazzpreis für Komposition nominiert. In den letzten zehn Jahren trat sie auf renommierten Festivals und in Jazzclubs in Europa, Brasilien und Asien auf, mit Ausflügen in die Pop-, zeitgenössische und transtraditionelle Musik.
Seit ihren kreativen Jahren in Paris organisiert Luise Volkmann immer wieder deutsch-französische Projekte.

Luise Volkmann /b. 1992/ is a jazz artist and sound composer based in Cologne. Her favourite tool is the saxophone. Her musical project circles around the transformative potential of music – with various bands she brings and brought to life. She studied jazz saxophone, composition and musicology in Leipzig, Paris and Cologne.
Luise’s albums were voted among the best albums of 2018 and 2021 by the magazine Die Zeit and Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland. She has won several awards as a saxophonist and was nominated for the German Jazz Prize for composition in 2020 already. Over the past decade, she has performed at renowned festivals and jazz clubs in Europe, Brazil and Asia, with excursions into pop, contemporary and trans-traditional music.
Since her creative years in Paris, Luise Volkmann has been organizing many Franco-German projects.
