Carina Khorkhordina (geb. 1991) ist eine Trompeterin und interdisziplinäre Künstlerin, die seit 2014 in Berlin lebt. Seit 2017 tritt sie im Kontext improvisierter und experimenteller Musik auf. Zu ihren aktiven Gruppen gehören Duos mit Eric Wong, Lorena Izquierdo, Eric Bauer und Axel Dörner sowie das 11-köpfige Ensemble Klub Demboh. In den letzten Jahren arbeitete sie unter anderem mit Sven-Åke Johansson, Katinka Kleijn, Stefan Schneider, Billy Roisz, Tintin Patrone und Katharina Grosse zusammen. Außerdem spielt sie im Broken String Ensemble von Garth Erasmus. Sie wirkt auf Daniel Blumbergs Soundtrack für The Brutalist (Regie: Brady Corbet, 2024) mit, der den Oscar für die beste Filmmusik erhielt. Eines ihrer jüngsten Werke ist Robert Lax – Living in the present (TAL, LP, 2025), eine Zusammenarbeit mit Miki Yui und Nicolas Humbert, die der Poesie von Robert Lax gewidmet ist. Eine LP ihres Duos mit dem Trompeter Axel Dörner mit dem Titel Isonzo wird 2026 auf dem Label Ni Vu Ni Connu erscheinen.

Carina Khorkhordina (b. 1991) is a trumpet player and interdisciplinary artist living in Berlin since 2014. She has been performing in the context of improvised and experimental music since 2017. The active groups include duos with Eric Wong, Lorena Izquierdo, Eric Bauer, Axel Dörner, and the 11-piece ensemble Klub Demboh. In recent years she has worked with, among others, Sven-Åke Johansson, Katinka Kleijn, Stefan Schneider, Billy Roisz, Tintin Patrone, and Katharina Grosse. Lina Allemano ist eine kanadische Trompeterin, Komponistin, Improvisatorin und Bandleaderin mit aktiver internationaler Karriere und seit vielen Jahren mit prägnanter Präsenz in der Berliner Szene. Sie ist bekannt für ihr expressives Trompetenspiel vor allem in improvisierten, Jazz- und experimentellen Kontexten und gilt als eine der führenden innovativen Trompeterinnen der heutigen Szene. Sie arbeitet mit zahlreichen internationalen Künstlern zusammen, betreibt ihr eigenes Label für abenteuerliche Musik LUMO RECORDS und leitet mehrere wegweisende Projekte, darunter ihr akustisches Quartett LINA ALLEMANO FOUR, das Power-Trio OHRENSCHMAUS sowie das Trompete/Elektronik-Duo BLOOP. In den vergangenen Jahren wurde sie mehrfach im Annual International Critics Poll des DownBeat Magazine als Rising Star Trumpet genannt. Lina Allemano is a Canadian trumpeter, composer, improviser and bandleader with an active international career, and many years with an engaging presence on the Berlin scene. She is known for her emotive trumpet playing primarily in improvised, jazz, and experimental settings and recognized as one of the leading innovative trumpeters on the scene today. She collaborates with many international artists, runs her own record label for adventurous music LUMO RECORDS, and leads multiple groundbreaking projects including her acoustic quartet LINA ALLEMANO FOUR, power-trio OHRENSCHMAUS, and trumpet/electronics duo BLOOP. For the past several years, she was named in DownBeat Magazine’s Annual International Critics Poll for Rising Star Trumpet. Matthias Lindermayr ist Trompeter und Komponist aus München. Seine Musik bewegt sich zwischen Jazz, zeitgenössischer Improvisation und feinsinniger Klangforschung. Nach Studien in München, am Berklee College of Music in Boston und am Jazz Institut Berlin entwickelte er eine eigenständige musikalische Handschrift. Mit seiner Band Fazer veröffentlicht er international beachtete Alben, zuletzt Yamaha (2024), die für ihre offene, genreübergreifende Ästhetik geschätzt werden. Ein Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt auf kammermusikalischen Formaten, darunter ein Trio mit Matthieu Bordenave und Rob Luft sowie das Duo mit Masako Ohta. Das Duo-Album Nozomi (2025) wurde mit dem Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik ausgezeichnet. Lindermayr konzertiert weltweit und zählt zu den prägenden Stimmen des aktuellen deutschen Jazz.

Matthias Lindermayr is a trumpeter and composer from Munich. His music moves between jazz, contemporary improvisation, and subtle sonic exploration. After studies in Munich, at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and at the Jazz Institute Berlin, he developed a distinctive musical voice. With his band Fazer he releases internationally acclaimed albums, most recently Yamaha (2024), appreciated for their open, genre-crossing aesthetic. A focus of his work lies in chamber-music formats, including a trio with Matthieu Bordenave and Rob Luft as well as a duo with Masako Ohta. The duo album Nozomi (2025) received the German Record Critics’ Award. Lindermayr performs worldwide and is considered one of the defining voices of contemporary German jazz.

Mit MEMENTO ODESA, einer Kooperation mit dem Kammerorchester der Philharmonie Odesa, entwickelte er ein Werk von großer emotionaler und gesellschaftlicher Tiefe. Mit KY! schuf er eine kraftvolle Superband zwischen urbanem Groove und völliger Freiheit. Studnitzky arbeitet außerdem unter anderem mit Singülar, Wolfgang Haffner, Manu Katché und Omer Klein zusammen. Als Gründer des XJAZZ Festivals Berlin hat er zudem ein Festival geschaffen, das internationale Strahlkraft erlangt hat.
